WEBINAR: Norway – Brazil Weeks: Offshore Wind

The potential for offshore wind power generation in the country is over 700 GW, according to the Brazilian Energy Research Company (EPE). At the same time, several local and international players already have announced ambitious plans for offshore wind in Brazil.

Currently, there are over 40 GW in announced projects, and according to Renewables Consulting Group, Brazil ranks among the top 5 countries in announced projects. An exciting opportunity that many Norwegian players are already looking into. However, the development of projects for offshore wind energy production in Brazil still depends on a clearer regulatory framework. All this context linking Brazil and Norway -the Norwegian governmental and industrial view on the offshore wind sector, the Brazilian developments on regulatory works, and the challenges and perspectives seen in Brazil by Norwegian players will be portraited in this exciting programme. Join us on 30 November!
